Questions on painting a bedroom wall?

I just bought a house and it needs painting in the interior. The previous owner left so many tiny holes in the walls from hanging up pictures, etc. What can I use to cover these holes before painting. Also I have another room that is painted an ugly dark blue. What do I have to do before painting it a light color.Questions on painting a bedroom wall?
Not knowing what kind of wall coverings you have I'm going to assume you have drywall. If so, spackling compound or paste can be obtained from you local hardware or building supply store. Mix it up and place it in the holes. When dry, a light fine sanding and paint. I have seen people mix flour and water to make a paste - it works.

To cover a dark wall it should be recovered with a good white primer paint. But the wall should appear white, if not, a second coat may be required. This will give you a true desired color.Questions on painting a bedroom wall?
Fill, sand, fill, sand and finish and then paint.......the other may just take you two coats........if you do something we call 'back rolling'; you might get it done in one day............we paint a couple of walls and just before they are dry we go back over again. The best way is wait and do 2 coats if needed. Just depends on the paint quality also.
get a small container of Spackle and a small sraper put a small amount of Spackle on the sraper push it into the hole then scrap of excess you don't even have to let it dry you can paint over right away. Now as far as your painting over dark blue you will need a primer in a the color you are about to pain but i suggest using kilts then painting over peace out
