How can I re touch paint on a wall without re painting the entire wall?

I would suggest not rolling the touch up. It is much easier to do touch up with a brush. It is a lot easier to feather it out. You want to blend the new paint with the old paint. If you have the same paint left over,a sponge brush works well on touch ups.If you don't have the same paint you can get a color match mixed if you have a sample chart left from the last painting.It is wise to keep the color sample chart with the numbers on it so you can easily have another batch mixed if necasary.If not you may have to re-paint the entire wall.How can I re touch paint on a wall without re painting the entire wall?
If you have any of the paint originally used, you can do a good touch up job. If not, good luck.
It's very difficult. There are many instances that even spare paint applied to the wall will look a bit different than that originally applied. It depends upon if you can notice or not.





I say try it and if you can see a difference, paint the entire wall.
agreed, if you have the paint just apply it using a foam brush to minimize streaking. Also, rubbermaid makes a little device just for touching up paint. It's a little roller that you pour the paint inside the handle and it feeds it out as you roll. You can find this in places like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Lowes, HD, etc, etc.
the most important thing is to blend out the area you touched up, most people just run a roller over the spot , then when it dries you can see the outline of where they touched up, so to prevent this ,arc your roller awat from your wall at the end of each stroke,i tell my customers to pretend it is a plane lifitin off ,so they get the idea of the arc ing motion and do not just pull the roller away from the wall leaving an obvious start and stop line,also blend out beyond the size of the area you touch up, if your touch up is an area the size of dollar bill,feather it out to the size of a basketball and arc at the end of the stroke and your touch up will be un noticible.....painting contractor.
