Painting a bedroom with a black wall?

hey im intrested in painting my bedroom with 3 walls white and 1 wall black, im just intrested in others peoples opinions over wether or not this would look good? thoughts please..Painting a bedroom with a black wall?
MY DAUGHTER WAS GOING TO DO SOMETHING SIMILAR. 1ST YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER WHEN YOU WANT TO PAINT OVER THAT BLACK WALL IT'S GOING TO BE MORE WORK. IS THIS FOR THE BLACK LIGHT EFFECT? THEN IT WOULD BE PRETTY COOL LOOKING WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON. IT IS ALL ON YOUR PERSONAL PREFERNCE AND IF YOU ARE ALLOWED TO DO IT. IF IT IS RENTLY PROPERTY THE OWNER WILL NOT BE HAPPY.Painting a bedroom with a black wall?
I had a black wall once and really did like it.

Put polka dots or stripes on it in glow in the dark colors for a really cool effect. Just stick with one wall though or you will feel like your are in a casket.
I think it is kinda creepy and will reduce the space of the bedroom
You have the right idea in that you don't want to paint too many of your walls black, b/c then your room would look a lot smaller than it is. Maybe you could do some sponging of a lighter shade on the black wall so it's not just a solid black and so that it doesn't stick out as much as it would alone.

I would also make whatever wall your bed will be against the wall that you paint black (if you didn't already think of that yourself!)

Just my opinions. Good luck!
It depends largely on the size of the room. Remember that dark colors make a space seem smaller and appear closer to you, so that one wall may appear ';closer'; to you.

When we decorate long halls, we put a pattern or a darker color on the facing wall at the end of the hall to bring it closer. I hope this makes sense!

Also darker colors will show any imperfections in the walls. If your wall is nicked or scratched, the black color will enhance it. As will a gloss, so go with a flat or satin sheen of paint.

Other than that, black will be fine!
