Whats the best way to remove paint from the ceiling when you accidently get it on from painting the wall?

painting inside your houseWhats the best way to remove paint from the ceiling when you accidently get it on from painting the wall?
DO NOT use oops to remove the paint you've gotten on your ceiling because it will also remove the ceiling paint. Oops is a product that removes dried latex paint from woodwork and floors and things of that nature, it will remove paint and I'm guessing that's whats on your ceiling is paint so don't try that solution!! If you don't have the paint or any idea who's brand it is your best bet would be to buy a aerosol can of ';Cover Stain'; and shield the area with tape and plastic or a piece of card board and lightly spray, 9 out of 10 times it's a good match. Good luck Les the painterWhats the best way to remove paint from the ceiling when you accidently get it on from painting the wall?
If you are using latex, then a wet/damp rag. Try and not spread the paint any further than it already is. There is also a product called oops, that is good for removing mistakes. You can find it at home improvement and paint stores.
In addition to Les's answer (first responder is totally wrong), I have used Kilz with a foam brush to clean up small spots on white knockdown texture ceilings.
