Is there a way to cover wall mural painting so that we will be able to recover it later?

The children's room in our new house has beautiful wall paintings but they are baby themed and my children are too big for them. Is there a way to cover them so that we can recover them if we one day have another baby and want them back?Is there a way to cover wall mural painting so that we will be able to recover it later?
We just did something similar in a renovation. The home had a plaster casting over the fireplace which the current owner didn't like, but wanted to save if possible. We constructed a frame around it of 1'; lumber which we then covered with wallboard; taped, finished, etc. In your case, given the width and height, you might do the frame around the wall perimeter, then mount 1'; material to the back of the wallboard with construction adhesive at 16'; intervals; then install the wallboard ';panels'; to the wall. Write back if I am not being clear enough to understand. Good luckIs there a way to cover wall mural painting so that we will be able to recover it later?
Very hard, you can get paper that is pre glued that peels off like window stickers for a car.

But the main problem is any covering you do put on that is say washable off will come off in everyday use.

Failing that you could build a plasterboard frame around the effected wall?
Why not put a strippable wallpaper. If you sealed the mural with a clear sealer, then paper over it? Good luck!
