I have new bedding that is a dark brown and blue jacquard print and a matching ceiling light. All the furniture is dark brown. I don't want it to be too dark or too bright and I want the blue to pop in the bedding and not be washed out. I also haven't decided on carpet or ceiling color either. Its our first home and first real decorated bedroom so we want it to be perfect. Please anyone have ideas. Can someone help me with painting my bedroom? 2 long walls and 2 short walls. One window on each short wall.?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think the color called ';rice grain'; (# 6155) would look really great with the bedding that you describe.
You can also take a photo of your room %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions %26amp; they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like. Can someone help me with painting my bedroom? 2 long walls and 2 short walls. One window on each short wall.?
ceiling=oyster white, trim = flower pot, wall=favorite tan. To define which carpet you shall use, read these short tips here http://www.bedroomdesign2008.info/jokes_鈥?/a>
I agree with the answer above, Have pale blue walls and then put like, brown canvases on them with blue things on. White ceiling and light or dark wood floor.
pale blue walls, dark wood floor, white ceiling

I'm painting an interior wall (bedroom) and in some places, some of the paint was sticking .........?
.....and pulling off the old paint. What did I do wrong? How can I fix it? This just happened in a few spots on 2 of the walls.I'm painting an interior wall (bedroom) and in some places, some of the paint was sticking .........?
That meens you have an interior leak somewhere %26amp; the paint made it heavier, and glue like, and that makes the moist dry wall come off w/it, its been hiding there now. SURPRISE !!I'm painting an interior wall (bedroom) and in some places, some of the paint was sticking .........?
i cant help with your question, but whats funny is my cat looks JUST like your pic. She is all white and has diff colored eyes just like that. :] it looks pretty tight
Get some Killz Primer and roll it over the spot where the paint is sticking. Wait for it to dry and then try painting over the primer. the killz should seal any moisture and solve the problem.
I don't believe its your fault, there could be two reasons I know of. The walls may have gotten wet behind the existing paint or some one originally painted over grease and or dirt without cleaning and priming. You can take sand paper and go over the surfaces any real loose paint should just come off. Then I would prime the walls before I started painting.

Where can I find stencils for painting a sports team logo on a wall?
I am looking for a big New York Yankees logo stencil to paint on a wall and a big New Jersey Devils logo to paint on a wall. It must be bigger than a couple of inches. Thanks!Where can I find stencils for painting a sports team logo on a wall?

CHECK OUT THE PAINT DEALERS OR BUILDER SUPPLIERS LIKE LOWES, ETC. CRAFT SHOPS ALSO HAVE THAT KIND OF STUFF. THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO ORDER SOMETHING IF THEY DON'T CARRY IT.

Painting a mural on my nephew's bedroom wall, what's the best kind of paint to use?
Once I've done his, all my other nieces %26amp; nephews will want the same. So I need a cheap option but something that will stay on there for a long time.Painting a mural on my nephew's bedroom wall, what's the best kind of paint to use?
Frankly? It does not really matter. Regular wall paint with any artists acrylic or poster-paint mixed in for colour will do fine.
If you are painting on wallpaper or drywall it will make no difference what you used. After it has dried it will be as vulnerable as ever because the wallpaper itself is vulnerable.
As to cleaning... when was the last time you cleaned wallpaper? If they start painting on it themselves it makes no difference anyway.
If you want to go 'pro' you first prime your design with gesso and use on that what ever you'd use in your normal creative ventures. I have even seen murals done in colour pencil that were awesome. No protection on that either and it is 15 years old or so and is still as bright and clean as the first day.
On the other hand: It IS a childs bedroom. If you take that in consideration I'd at least stick to water soluable paints. Toxic or not isn't really relevant as dried paint will not be licked from the wall.... if they would do that you'd have other problems to consider I'd guess.
Good luck.Painting a mural on my nephew's bedroom wall, what's the best kind of paint to use?
Acrylic will work good
One shot. Its the best. There is cheap, and there is good. I am sure you already know this as I assume you already paint. If you are doing 1 color disney types then whatever.if you are doing fades and blends, do yourself a favor, buy the good stuff.
Acrylic
When I've painted murals, I paint the background and any large objects with regular latex wall paint, and then use acrylic for adding details. The latex is nice and cheap, but you have to buy it in quantity so if you're just starting out it's hard to get all the colors you want (over time doing enough interior painting you build up a nice supply!). Acrylic is a little more expensive, but you can buy it in small amounts which is great when you just need a little tube of a certain color.

Acrylic
I've painted many, many murals in my lifetime...indoors and out. I use regular ole wall paint indoors and either house paint or concrete paint outdoors...depending on the surface. Some of my murals have been around for 20 years and still look fine.
Quite often, the paint store will have ';oops'; paint that is considerably cheaper!
Acrylic is the best thing to use! or you could try acura but its a little more expensive.
acrylic. its made of plastic and Im pretty sure the fumes aren't harmful. they are also inexpensive and you can buy them in very little amounts, but it depends on how much space you want to cover. if it is a large wall, you might want to try something else.
acrylic..coat it with an acrylic clear after it's dry.private myspace

How would I go about painting what looks like sand on the bottom of a wall?
I want to have my bathroom with sand on bottom and sky on rest of the wall. How would I go about getting a sand like wall what tools or techniques could I use and what colors would you recommend. How would I go about painting what looks like sand on the bottom of a wall?
I used to ask this type of question , too. Years ago. Then I learned that
the only way to get the effect you want is to understand what you are seeing. Find the thing you want to depict and really study it; what is it you are actually seeing? Whatever you see you can paint.

okay so, i painted a painting on the easel. how do i get it on the wall? like... idk where to find it.SIms 2: How do you put your painting on the wall?
Once you finish a painting on the sims 2, it should go into your inventory, you can also choose a frame for it that goes with the colour of the wall.

Painting a bedroom with a black wall?
hey im intrested in painting my bedroom with 3 walls white and 1 wall black, im just intrested in others peoples opinions over wether or not this would look good? thoughts please..Painting a bedroom with a black wall?
MY DAUGHTER WAS GOING TO DO SOMETHING SIMILAR. 1ST YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER WHEN YOU WANT TO PAINT OVER THAT BLACK WALL IT'S GOING TO BE MORE WORK. IS THIS FOR THE BLACK LIGHT EFFECT? THEN IT WOULD BE PRETTY COOL LOOKING WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON. IT IS ALL ON YOUR PERSONAL PREFERNCE AND IF YOU ARE ALLOWED TO DO IT. IF IT IS RENTLY PROPERTY THE OWNER WILL NOT BE HAPPY.Painting a bedroom with a black wall?
I had a black wall once and really did like it.
Put polka dots or stripes on it in glow in the dark colors for a really cool effect. Just stick with one wall though or you will feel like your are in a casket.
I think it is kinda creepy and will reduce the space of the bedroom
You have the right idea in that you don't want to paint too many of your walls black, b/c then your room would look a lot smaller than it is. Maybe you could do some sponging of a lighter shade on the black wall so it's not just a solid black and so that it doesn't stick out as much as it would alone.
I would also make whatever wall your bed will be against the wall that you paint black (if you didn't already think of that yourself!)
Just my opinions. Good luck!
It depends largely on the size of the room. Remember that dark colors make a space seem smaller and appear closer to you, so that one wall may appear ';closer'; to you.
When we decorate long halls, we put a pattern or a darker color on the facing wall at the end of the hall to bring it closer. I hope this makes sense!
Also darker colors will show any imperfections in the walls. If your wall is nicked or scratched, the black color will enhance it. As will a gloss, so go with a flat or satin sheen of paint.
Other than that, black will be fine!
